System Message – Write Fault Error fake alert

The warning that is titled as “System Message – Write Fault Error” is, most probably, caused by the presence of one of fake hard drive defragmenters on your computer, such as File Recovery, Data Recovery or Smart HDD. In fact, there are many other similar programs, and all of them pretend to be some great system optimization utilities. However, this is nothing but the next outrageous lie expressed by them. Such applications cannot speed up your PC. Neither can they boost up the system performance or eliminate hard drive, system and memory problems (if they are real). The errors reported by fake HDD applications like the ones described above are unreal. Nevertheless, the very presence of these bogus system utilities is dangerous for your file integrity, and this causes damage to your personal file settings.

When one of the above-mentioned rogue HDD tools implants itself onto infected PC the following message comes up:

System Message – Write Fault Error
A Write command during the test has failed to complete. This may be due to a media or read/write error. The system generates an exception error when using a reference to an invalid system memory address.

This message is scary if you don’t realize it is fake. As we said before, there is no such error in reality. What we see instead is a deceptive statement that was prepared by hackers for the single purpose of scaring users and prompting them into believing that their products (fake HDD tools) can resolve such fake errors. Eventually you will be brought by the malware to the fake payment processing page of one of fake HDDs to buy its license (activation code). This, of course, is the total waste of money and nothing else.

Apart of many other fake messages of these fake HDD tools, there is another serious problem caused by them. This is the issue of missing and hidden data. The programs like Data Recovery, File Recovery and Smart HDD conceal all data on your PC, including pictures, documents, folders and even the list of all your programs, whereas the desktop of your PC turns out to be totally black or blank. This issue can be resolved by following the detailed malware removal guide you see below. It was developed by our antivirus analysts. First thing you must do is to get rid of the source of the infection. For this purpose you must run GridinSoft Trojan Killer. Finally, use our free utilities described below for data recovery that was hidden by the a.m. malware.
