Ihr Computer ist gesperrt. Bundesamt für Polizei scam

Switzerland today is also being massively attacked with a ransomware program, the locker that hijacks the desktop of the infected computer with its scary alert supposedly coming from Bundesamt für Polizei. Regretfully, many simple users have been really scared with this deceitful statement, which has nothing to do with the Swiss Police. One of its scary warnings says this: “Sie begingen Strafhandlungen die gesetzeswidrig sind und die strafrechtlich geahndet warden”. This in English means: “You have broken the law, your actions are illegal and will lead to criminal liability”. Of course, this is very frightening to get such a message when you don’t realize that this is not a real police alert. This is the reason why we’ve written this article – to make our German users aware of this scam and to let them know how to deal with this malware as far as its removal is concerned.
