Today we found out that a large spam campaign is being run in the cyber world, that uses the good name of pixmania.com and the fake program of issue of voucher codes allegedly associated with it. The email received by users supposedly coming from pixmania.com are infected with a serious malware, that is attached as the file voucher.exe or voucher.zip.
The text of this fake email message normally says this:
pixmania.com gift voucher code You can find our voucher code in the attachment below. Then you need to open pixmania.com. Once you verify your account, 100 EUR will be credited to your account.
Opening these attachments is a serious mistake, by the way, because they contain a serious virus that can greatly infect your system. To be more precise, voucher.zip contains voucher.scr which is a trojan.downloader virus infection. Thus, be very careful with it! Do not let hackers fool or trick you! Stay on the alert and scan your system with decent security software like GridinSoft Trojan Killer.
