‘Windows – Read error’ scam. How to remove

Windows – Read error’ is yet another scary alert that is associated with System Repair malware (fake hard drive defragmentation utility). This is a serious virus that is extremely dangerous once it enters your computer. The point is that this malicious application is fully responsible for hiding the majority of your files, folders, pictures, documents and other data available on your computer. This is done by means of adding the hidden attribute to your files and relocating them all to a specially designated “smtmp” folder (which is also hidden in Temp directory, by the way).

System Repair scam enters your computers in a hidden (secret) manner which is surely not coordinated with you. It immediately amends your PC in order to be self-launched automatically each time you turn your computer to do something important on it. So, System Repair scam appears in front of your screen. Immediately all your data on the computer disappears, and you see nothing but the black screen and a couple of icons associated with System Repair rogue. In addition, you will see the large number of the following scary notification popping up really frequently:

Windows – Read error Exception Processing Message 0xC0000029 Parameters 0x7C800023 0x000000BE 0x7C800784 0x7C8002E1

You need to ignore this message and understand that this ‘Windows – Read error’ is not a real error for your computer. Generally, everything is quite well with your system, hard drive and memory (except probably for the issue of hidden files). There are many other fake errors and bugs reported by this malicious application. You need to disregard them all and seek for the correct malware removal solution that will help you remove System Repair hoax from your system effectively and restore your missing data hidden by this scam.
