tfitter.com – a new way of phishing

The fake Twitter signup page is spread through malicious links in Twitter today. This fake signup site begins with tfitter (instead of twitter). So, this means that your Twitter account can be easily hacked if you click this misleading link. Keep in mind that this very link is preceded by a message that says this: “Someone is making up a nasty blog about you”. Here is how the message in Twitter might look like:

The link, by the way, redirects you to the page http://tfitter.com/b1/verify/?&account_secure_login with the fake Twitter page. It is fake because tfitter.com is not twitter.com. The goal of hackers is to obtain your real Twitter password. Please never indicate your password through clicking such malicious link! Finally, make sure to scan your system with the help of reliable security software.
